Greetings Quilters, Where did summer go? The leaves are falling and I’ve had the heat on already! We are open as usual, 10 am to 5 pm, this Monday, Columbus Day. But we are unable to be open for Guild Night, Thursday, October 15th. Sorry for any inconvenience. News We’ve received information about the 2010 Thimbleberries Club. I always look forward to seeing what Lynette Jensen has designed for next year, and I think she did a great job! There are three color palettes to choose from and I am offering two quilt sizes to choose from. We should receive our shop kits about November 1st and hope to have sample quilts hanging about December 1st. Take a look at http://www.littlelambquiltshop.com/thimbleberries.htm for more information. We’ve got a couple new monthly programs scheduled to start soon. Moda has a block of the month quilt named Greenpiece. The quilt has alternate squares which can be left blank, done in wool appliqué, or with machine embroidery. The fabric is from several of their beautiful fall lines. This will start in November and run for 10 months. Starting in January 2010 is the Monthly Mini’s Banner program. Each month includes all of the fabric, buttons (4 months) and a hanger. The pictures show the patterns; we’ll be making them using Thimbleberries fabrics. Take a look at http://www.littlelambquiltshop.com/blocksofthemonth.htm for more information on both of these programs. Upcoming Events We are vending at the Cocheco Quilt Guild show on October 17th and 18th. This is a great show, with lots of fabulous quilts, many vendors and the best lunch! Seriously, the food concession is run by a member and her husband, and is fantastic. Take a look at http://www.cochecoquilters.org/show2009.htm for more information. I’ve posted our fall classes, running from October 24th to December 12th. There are several quick easy gift ideas, the “Toothbrush” Rug, a class on how to do photo transfers to fabric, and two beginner classes using the Square in a Square ruler, taught by Jean Kearney. You may have the ruler in your collection and not ever used it. Take a look at what it can do! Machine classes are limited in size due to our small L classroom. Don’t forget Open Sew every Tuesday. Join us from 10 am to 2 pm and work on your project of choice. Need help with something? I am available to answer questions and help you get started. There is no charge for this session.
